DESCRIPTION:

Wire Worm is a tool designed to remove wires or other unwanted objects from images. The plugin is very easy to use.

INSTALLATION:

Simply unzip "wireworm.zip" and copy "wireworm.8bf" to your "\Photoshop\Plug-Ins\" folder, or whichever plugin folder your host program uses. Load your program, open an image, go to the plugins menu and select the plugin from the "MV's Plugins" submenu.

64-BIT SYSTEMS:

If you are using Photoshop CS4 or CS5 on a 64-bit edition of Windows (XP, Vista or 7), then there are two editions of Photoshop installed on your computer: a 32-bit edition and a 64-bit edition. Wire Worm will run on the 32-bit Photoshop edition.

Please copy "wireworm.8bf" to the 32-bit Plug-ins folder. Its default location is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 or CS4\Plug-Ins.
The (x86) part is important!

To use Wire Worm, make sure you are running the 32-bit version of Photoshop! The default location is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 or CS4\Photoshop.exe.
Again, the (x86) part is important.

Image preview area
------------------

Left mouse key:

Right mouse key:
Click to compare with unprocessed image, drag to scroll the image.

"Selection" Section
-------------------

Colored square:
Click to choose selection marking color.

Radius slider:
Adjust radius of selection. As an alternative to using the slider you can also use the mouse wheel or use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) sign keys (new in version 5.7).
If CTRL modifier key is pressed the change is applied to the last patch (new in version 5.7).

Antialias checkbox: (new in Version 5.6)
Enable for a smoother boundary.
If CTRL modifier key is pressed the change is applied to the last patch (new in version 5.7).

"Color Matching" Section
------------------------

Capture Range slider:
Specifies the color matching range of the patch with respect to the selection border pixels. The maximum value (255) will match any color, which might not be desired in all cases. Use lower values to avoid color bleeding from extreme border pixels. Setting the slider to 0 will disable color matching alltogether.
If CTRL modifier key is pressed the change is applied to the last patch (new in version 5.7).

"Adjustment" section
--------------------

Arrow buttons:
Fine-position selection or patch, whichever was the last mouse action. Instead of the arrow buttons you can also use the arrow keys. If the CTRL modifier is pressed the last patch is moved as a whole (new in version 5.7).

Snap function (new in version 5.8):
Enable automatic fine positioning. Wire Worm will snap to the best matching patch in the vicinity specified by the user. In most cases this will work very well - in more complex situations you may be able to improve manually by using the arrow keys. The Snap function can be enabled or disabled by pressing the S-key.

Magnifying Glass button (new in version 5.7):
Click to magnify preview image near the mouse position. Useful for inspection and fine tuning. You can also enable the magnifier temporarily by holding down the SHIFT key.

Undo:
Undo last patch. Wire Worm supports an unlimited number of undos. You can use PAGE UP or CTRL+Z as shortcuts (new in version 5.7).

Redo:
Redo last patch. You can use PAGE DOWN or CTRL+Y as shortcuts (new in version 5.7).

Reset:
Undo all patches to start all over. Use DELETE (not BACKSPACE) as shortcut.
