DESCRIPTION:

This filter is designed to correct hue shifts caused by color clipping in overexposed images. Presets are provided for sky and skin color restoration, respectively. The filter is very easy to use.


INSTALLATION:

Simply unzip "huecorrector.zip" and copy "huecorrector.8bf" to your "\Photoshop\Plug-Ins\" folder, or whichever plugin folder your host program uses. Load your program, open an image, go to the plugins menu and select the plugin from the "MV's Plugins" submenu.


USAGE:

Image preview area: 
- Right-click to compare with unprocessed image, drag to move the image.

Zoom control: 
Use + and - to zoom in and out.

100%:
Display the image with full resolution.

Fit
Set zoom to display the entire image in the preview.


"Overexposure" Section
----------------------
View:
Highlight overexposed areas in the image for analysis.

Threshold:
Pixels with R, G, or B values above threshold will be considered as overexposed, and hence will be candidates for processing. No processing will be applied below threshold. Recomended values are 245 or above, depending on noise and jpeg artifacts.


"Restore" Section

Sky/Skin: (Combobox)
Select presets for sky and skin color restoration, respectively.

Hue:
Adjust the target hue.

Color Gradient Strips:
Illustrate the hue restoration effect. Upper strip: gradient with color clipping. Lower strip: corrected.


General Controls
----------------

Cancel:
Exit the plugin without applying any effect.

OK:
Apply restoration and exit the plugin.

Reset All:
Reset all controls.
